Supporting Saints & England Captain Jodie Cunningham in 2026
Last year, we shared about our partnership with St Helens Women and what it meant to us as a business. This year, we’re continuing that relationship, just in a slightly different way.
We’re proud to be sponsoring Saints and England captain, Jodie Cunningham.
Jodie is a standout figure in the women’s game, not just for what she brings on the pitch, but for the role she plays off it. Alongside captaining club and country, she’s Head of Women’s Pathways & Performance at St Helens, helping shape the next generation of players coming through the ranks. On top of that, she’s a regular voice on Sky Sports, contributing to both the women’s and men’s game.
For us, this was an opportunity we couldn’t miss. It gives us the chance to support someone who represents so much of what the game stands for, both on and off the field.
We recently attended the season opener event at the club. It was a chance to watch a training session, spend time with the coaches and players, and catch up with fellow sponsors. It was a relaxed evening, but one that reinforced just how much momentum there is around the women’s game right now.
From the outside, you can see the progress. Crowds are growing, coverage is improving, and the standard on the pitch continues to rise. But being there in person, you get a better sense of the work that goes into it behind the scenes.
With the rivalry between Saints and Wigan as strong as ever, especially after last year’s Grand Final where Wigan edged a tight contest, the stage is set for another competitive season ahead.
As a business, we’ve always believed in supporting things we genuinely care about. Women’s rugby league is one of those. While we’ll obviously be hoping for a strong season for Saints, we’re just as interested in seeing the game continue to grow across the board.
Martin Taylor, co-founder of True9, said:
“It’s great to be back involved with St Helens Women again this year. Last season gave us a real insight into the people and the work behind the team, so to continue that in a slightly different way and support someone like Jodie felt like a natural step for us. More than anything, we’re just pleased to be playing a small part in something that’s clearly growing and heading in the right direction.”
We’re looking forward to following Jodie and the team throughout the season, and playing a small part in that journey. We’ll attend as many games as possible throughout the season, and we’d also encourage you to do the same. You can find more details about the game at Betfred Women’s Super League.
