🎉 One Year of Tabs!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since Tabitha joined True9. From day one, she’s brought positive energy, drive, and structure to how we deliver projects, and quickly became an integral part of the team.

Tabs is one of those rare people who make everything run smoother without making a fuss. A true star player and absolute asset.

Here’s to many more busy (and enjoyable) years to come! And yes, her work anniversary gift was delivered by her favourite colleague: Sherlock the dog. 🐶

🏎️ Team Outing in Leeds

In May, we hit pause on project work and spent the day together in Leeds for a much-needed team outing.

We kicked things off at Sunken Studio, getting our hands dirty (literally) at the pottery wheel. Results varied with a few wobbly and very questionable bowls, but spirits were high, and the laughs were loud.

Next up: karting at TeamSport Leeds, where the friendly competition turned ever so slightly serious. With a special mention to Luke, our overall winner, who came complete with racing gloves, shoes, and rib support.

We wrapped up the day with dinner at Mumtaz on the Docks. We enjoyed good food, great conversation and a chance to unwind together.

🏃 Marathon Season: Smashed It!

On 28 April, we were buzzing with pride as we watched Chris Nicholl smash the TCS London Marathon, flying the flag in his custom-made True9 running vest.

Chris joined thousands of runners tackling the 26.2-mile challenge, a reminder of what’s possible with determination, training, and a touch of madness.

Whether it was for charity, personal goals or just the love of running, we salute every finisher out there.

"We know that culture isn’t built through grand gestures — it’s the small, consistent things that shape how a team feels. Just having regular team days in the office with Nando’s for lunch, a quiz and company updates brings the team together.”

👏 Great Work, James!

Earlier in April, James took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of his grandad, raising money for Parkinson’s UK.

James started his running journey with Couch to 5K and hasn’t looked back since. This challenge was not just about distance, but heart, and we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication he’s shown.

James managed to raise over £800 for his chosen charity, which is an awesome effort!

🎂 Workiversary: James Mayell

And while we’re shouting out James, March marked another memorable moment, his True9 work anniversary.

James is a talented backend developer who keeps things running under the hood. His dry humour is a team highlight (especially during team lunches), and his code is as clean as his punchlines are sharp.

Here’s to another year of backend brilliance!

🏉 A Night at The Saints

Chris and Martin were treated to fantastic hospitality at St Helens R.F.C., swapping the sidelines for the posh seats and enjoying an evening of great food and even better company.

They were joined by fellow women’s team sponsors BMC Analysis Ltd and BoldVets, and while their quiz performance was questionable, the laughs more than made up for it!

Why These Moments Matter

In fast-paced environments like ours, it's easy to keep moving without looking back. But these moments, whether personal wins or team milestones, are what define our culture. They remind us that behind every project plan, line of code, or client meeting is a group of people who care deeply about what they do and how they do it.

At True9, we’re not just building better systems, we’re building a better way of working. Together.
